Fragments Lost in ShadowBattle waged all around them in the tight confines of some forsaken tunnel in the Underdark of the Prime. Fires burned ahead and behind, choking out the oxygen in the passage and stinging the senses with smoke. The heat was blinding to those accustomed to world that was either entirely without light or illuminated by only heatless cantrips, and many of the drow they were fighting fell to the ground screaming, clutching at their faces. Even the snarled commands of the solitary female that seemed to lead them didn't seem to evoke the same fearless responses as it had before Veriquous ignited himself.
